OCDE Secondary GLAD®:

Shifting Practices for Secondary Classrooms  

In this course you are invited to:

  • Strengthen your ability to shift practices to improve student outcomes

  • Build understanding of the interconnectedness between the OCDE Project GLAD® model and equitable practices

  • Deepen analysis of your impact

  • Refine understanding of the adolescent brain

  • Transfer skills and apply in new settings

  • Design a learning progression

This course design includes four modules. At the end of every module, you will have a short reflection to demonstrate your understanding of the module content. After you complete all four modules, you will write a statement of what you commit to trying in your classroom as a result of your participation. You will earn a badge at the conclusion of this course indicating you have successfully completed Secondary GLAD®

 

This reflective, self-paced digital professional learning provides school districts with innovative solutions for asynchronous professional growth. In this digital professional learning, PK-12 instructional assistants, educators ,and administrators will access and be introduced to the California English Learner Roadmap. This course will provide resources, best practices, and guided support for educators and administrators as they move forward on their journey of implementing the California English Learner Roadmap Policy. Integrating these resources in instruction will support educators to improve and customize learning for all students, especially English learner students.
