Full course description

This training fulfills a yearly mandate for suicide prevention training for educators as outlined in Assembly Bills 1767 and 2246. Throughout this course, we will be discussing your role in suicide prevention, starting with how to recognize when a student might be at risk, and the process for referring the student.

This course was funded by the Orange County Mental Health Student Services Act grant program and created through a collaboration between the Orange County Department of Education Regional Mental Health Coordinator team and Directing Change, a free and evaluated youth suicide prevention and mental health promotion program.
